A visual index, not a store
The vinyl library is a navigational view of TayTV’s twelve CSS-built era records. It is a metaphor for entering a chapter, not a product catalogue, retail offer, or reproduction of official packaging.
Each pressing combines a distinct color system, label, sleeve note, and link to a full era essay. The records are rendered from gradients and geometry so the library can remain lightweight, responsive, and rights-safe. Text alternatives and ordinary links keep the same route available to keyboard users and visitors who pause motion.
The useful content lives in the sleeve descriptions and linked chapters: they explain why a world uses linen, vellum, velvet, film grain, instant frames, charcoal paper, pastel light, fog, woven checks, clock faces, ivory type, or emerald water. If you want to understand a visual choice, open the era rather than treating the spinning disc as the destination.
The Motion control is persistent and optional. No sound or third-party player is required to browse the collection, and no ad belongs on a record that has not supplied enough publisher context. The library is one doorway into the atlas; the essays, sources, and visitor-created notes are what make the doorway useful.
Use the record sleeves to compare visual materials and open the full chapter behind any pressing.
Stop decorative rotation from the header or the page control; the text and links remain fully available.
The timeline, gallery, and About page explain the project’s sources, boundaries, and interpretive method.
