Thirty-six original visual studies
This gallery is a collection of abstract CSS compositions, not a repository of celebrity photographs or official album art. Each study pairs a title and description with the era question it is meant to illuminate.
The works use typography, gradients, geometry, spacing, and restrained motion. That choice keeps the archive lightweight and makes the visual method inspectable: a visitor can see how a color field, frame, thread, ripple, or paper edge is built rather than being asked to accept an unexplained image. Decorative shapes carry text alternatives through the adjacent title and description.
Use the filter to compare studies within one chapter, then open the linked era page for its longer context. A gallery label is intentionally modest. “Porch-light letters” or “Room at 12:13” is a prompt for attention, not a claim about official symbolism or a hidden announcement. Interpretation stays more useful when it leaves room for disagreement.
The archive also demonstrates the project’s rights boundary. No third-party image is required to understand the page, and no external media is embedded merely to fill space. When a later page references a public video or article, it adds commentary, source information, and a direct route to the original publisher.

Look for changes in edge, light, material, and scale across the three studies in each chapter.
Use the studio or journal to respond with your own words instead of copying a protected image or lyric.
